Terrevanimus Concept 004

Out of all the species I've made for Terrevanimus, I hadn't made the dragon, which makes absolutely no sense since dragons are like my main thing. So here's the concept! My hand is a little dead after all that shading, and I had originally shaded the entire thing with scales, decided I didn't like it, erased all the shading, and HAD TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN ASKJBSDKJBSDJ. So I might be a little tired of scales for a while. And I still hate drawing feet. And I dont think a green background was a smart choice. BUT DEM WINGS THO.

Anyway, these dudes are characterized by the classic six eyes, semi-transparent wings, and large number of spikes. Their most unique characteristic is probably the spike clusters at the tail and the greyscale coloration. (All Terrevanian dragons are greyscale. Only their eyes, tounge, and blood has any color.)

Dragons are pretty rare in Terrevanimus, (as all flying things are,) and they usually only live in large open areas, such as the far southern or northern rocky deserts, where it isn't unbearably hot. They are nomadic, traveling alone until next migration season, where they will meet up with family members and travel north. During summer, they will move up to the polar caves to find a mate. Terrevanian dragons usually one mate that they will be paired with for the rest of ther lives. Terrevanian dragons lay eggs, usually a nest of four or five, and they have an incubation period of 3 to 4 months. Dragonlings hatch with only one row of small spikes down their back and tiny wings. They will grow in the extra spikes as they mature. After hatching, the parents and will raise the young until they are old enough to fly, and will send the young out on their own. Dragons are pretty intelligent, but they have no interest in research or the Old World Era. They are more concerned with survival and family. Although many dragons have taken up an interest in arts like sculpting and painting.

Terrevanian Dragons started out as small lizardlike cave creatures that had a membrane stretched between their legs and their body, and after the flares, eventually evolved into the large beasts they are today. They do not breathe fire, but do have a coating on their teeth that burns like acid.

As always, Terrevanimus and species (c) me
